I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and currently work as a psychologist at HSK Group. Driven by my passion for group dynamics and the desire to reduce waiting times in mental healthcare, I founded Cogninova.

With this initiative, I focus on innovative and efficient forms of care that better match the needs of clients.

Isabel Velthuijsen

Master psycholoog

I am Isabel, and I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Victimology from the University of Groningen. Over the past few years, I have gained experience within forensic care, working with a wide range of complex cases.

 

I currently work as a psychologist at HSK Group, where I focus on supporting general clients and further developing mental healthcare. Driven by my passion to make care more accessible, innovative, and effective, I am committed to treatment approaches that better match clients’ needs and contribute to lasting improvements in wellbeing.

Cogninova's vision

  • The Concept: Cogninova is an innovative coaching practice that breaks away from the traditional one-to-one approach. We focus on the power of group dynamics and autonomy. We believe that recognition, shared experiences, and a holistic approach (mental and physical) can significantly accelerate the recovery process for depression.
  • The Problem: Long waiting lists in mental healthcare, high costs of individual treatment programmes, and increasing loneliness in mental health issues.
  • The Solution: High-quality online group treatments supported by an extensive e-learning platform and an ecosystem of wellbeing (sports, nutrition, meditation, and more).
  • Goal: To make mental healthcare scalable and to activate clients through a results-driven community.
